JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure that crew support service is world-class while also maintaining a safe, secure, and cost-effective operation by overseeing various partner business units, including service providers and local authorities, to support a successful crew journey and represent the Senior Flight Operations Management Team at every stage of the crew journey, including off-duty support, by ensuring solutions align with the company's vision and goals.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage time-critical departure and arrival processes for Flight and Cabin crew. Make decisions using the key operational drivers of safety, security, and on-time performance, to support the integrity of the operation, while ensuring compliance with Regulatory Authorities, i.e., GACA (General Authority of Civil Aviation), IATA (International Air Transportation Association), ICAO, and Company vision and goals.
  • Lead the crew management response for all flight and non-flight-specific incidents, including disruptive customer(s), severe turbulence, medical emergencies, diversions, natural disasters, political instability, world events, etc. Initiate and provide timely SITREP’s or Incident Reports to senior stakeholders, whilst providing crew with appropriate support (welfare/operational).
  • Responsible for managing subsequent disruption in the event of an aircraft incident, to mitigate impact on operations, crew, and direct reports, whilst maintaining effective communication with Operations Control Centre (OCC), Airport Operations, Local authorities, Business support units, etc.
  • Provide immediate management of significant welfare cases across the network. Display a high degree of emotional resilience and ability to balance the needs of the individual with that of the business.
  • As an SME, advise the SMNC on regulatory, service, and operational requirements for flight operations and provide immediate input on crew related matters, including performance issues, welfare concerns, unplanned hotel changes, delays, and any other operational and human factor/welfare challenges.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key department stakeholders and external authorities, including Saudi Immigration, Police and Customs, promoting trust and support to deliver department objectives through a collaborative approach.
  • Generate daily shift reports outlining activities and incidents, focusing on achievements and improvement opportunities. Identify potential issues, recurring discrepancies, and service failures; presenting recommendations, with supporting evidence, to drive change.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Aviation experience in Crew or Passenger services operational environment, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Flight Operations (Flight and Cabin Crew) preferred.
  • Knowledge of crew management, operations, and training systems preferred.
  • Excellent command of English.


ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related vocational experience preferred.


SKILLS:

  • Extensive experience in Aviation Operations.
  • Must be capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment demonstrating initiative, self-motivation, and resilience.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety & emergency, security, SOPs (standard operating procedures), regulatory bodies and air crew licensing requirements.
  • Excellent communication, and influence and negotiations.
  • Flexibility to work on shifts to cover the 24/7 functions in the crew center.
